Gas Leak Detectors

Acutec 35 Gas Detector

Wallace & Tiernan Products’ Acutec 35 utilizes the latest on-line gas monitoring technology to provide a flexible and reliable, self testing detection system in a compact modular design. With sensors to detect the presence of chlorine, ammonia or sulfur dioxide gases in ambient air, Acutech 35 is ideal for detecting leaks from storage containers, process piping or gas feed equipment in any type of water, wastewater or industrial plant environment. Its modular design allows for a wide range of configurations that can be simply and neatly installed, using standard enclosures.

The receiver is available in a choice of either a Detector or Monitor version, which has an LED display, and mA output signal. Both provide two selectable levels of alarm. A low level warning alarm may simply indicate transient leak conditions, whereas a second alarm can initiate a full alert in the event of more serious leaks. And, for real peace of mind, there is an optional Auto-Test unit. This incorporates an integral gas generator that automatically tests the sensor each day, sounding alarms in the event of sensor failure. This added safety feature also reduces the costs incurred with manual procedures. Combine the features of Acutech 35 with the fact that it comes with the backing and technical support of one of the world’s most respected chemical feed and instrumentation companies, and you will see why the Acutech 35 is the best gas detection system under the sun. Every single component in the Acutech 35 system is precision manufactured and vigorously tested to ensure accuracy and reliability.

The flexibility of the modular system allows for simple installation of single or multipoint gas detection systems. Each point of decision requires the installation of one Sensor/Transmitter and one Receiver Module. The Sensor/Transmitter is installed in the area to be monitored and the Receiver Module can be located up to 1000 feet away. A Power Supply Module, sufficient for use with up to two Receivers, is housed with the Receivers in a NEMA 4X enclosure. All enclosures are provided with knock-outs on all four sides to facilitate wiring using the 1/2" FNPT conduit hubs provided. Equally suitable for indoor or outdoor applications, these NEMA 4X rated polystyrene enclosures are fitted with a tough hinged polycarbonate window for clear visibility of all indicators and easy access to the control panel. Included within the enclosure is a piezo-electric horn to provide audible local warning.

Hypchlorite Generation

OSEC-BP System

View the Brochure ( 398 kb)

The Siemens Wallace & Tiernan Products OSEC-BP System provides for the continuous production of sodium hypochlorite solution from salt, water and electricity through the electrolysis of prepared brine solution. This eliminates dependence on commercial chlorine suppliers and the problems inherent in the transport and handling of bulk hypochorite, particularly in remote or residential areas. In addition, use of these systems could lower operating costs and disinfection by-products significantly compared to the use of bulk hypochlorite. Operation is completely automatic making the OSEC-BP ideally suited for unmanned locations. The OSEC-BP is available in standard unit capacities ranging from 2 to 50 lbs. of equivalent chlorine per day.

OSEC-B-Pak System

View the Brochure ( 535 kb)

The OSEC® B-Pak system generates a 0.8% sodium hypochlorite solution through the electrolysis of brine, consuming only water, salt, and electricity. By producing hypochlorite on-site and on-demand, the system eliminates concerns associated with transportation and storage of liquified chlorine gas or commercial sodium hypochlorite soltutions, making it ideal for any application requiring chlorination.

Due to its low concentration, the hypochlorite solution generated by the OSEC B-Pak system minimizes corrosion and degradation (loss of available chlorine during storage) issues typical of high-strength commercial sodium hypochlorite solutions.

At Force Flow, they do not take a "One size fits all" approach to your chemical monitoring needs. They have developed many different types of instrument systems so you can match your exact requirements. With multiple choices available in each of their five instrument categories, you can rest assured that they have the specific equipment you need.

When specifying a scale for your chemical inventory needs, there are three technologies that we offer:

Hydraulic Scales: The hydraulic load cell is comprised of a piston bonded to a rolling diaphragm floating over a cylinder of hydraulic fluid. The piston receives the load and converts that force (or weight) into a proportional pressure signal which is sent via hydraulic tubing to a bourdon tube type of dial indicator. These scales are ideal for applications which require:

  • Simple installation and operation
  • Rugged construction, reliable operation and a 5 year warranty
  • No electric power
  • Immunity to RFI, EMI, loss of power and lightning strikes
  • Intrinsically safe design

Electronic Scales: The electronic load cell scale is comprised of a shear beam strain gauge load cell mounted in a hardware assembly. The shear beam load cell accepts load at one end of the beam and thus deflects (or strains) the Wheatstone bridge within the load cell. This deflection causes a change in microvoltage proportional to the applied load which is read out on our multi-channel digital weight indicators. Electronic scales are ideal for applications which require:

  • High resolution and sensitivity, particularly in chemical feed systems with low feed rates
  • Sophisticated consumption and trending data such as feed rates and daily usages.
  • Multiple scale monitoring on a single instrument.
  • Feed rate alarms and transfer pump controls

Cross Technology Scales: The best of two worlds have merged through CROSS TECHNOLOGY to create durable and economical digital weight instrumentation which requires no line voltage. CROSS TECHNOLOGY blends our rugged and reliable hydraulic load cell with an easy to read digital indicator or 4-20 ma transmitter. The SOLO XT or SATELLITE transmitter converts the hydraulic pressure signal from the load cell to an electronic signal that can be either read on a digital display and/or transmitted remotely. Cross technology scales are ideal for applications which require:

    • Intrinsic Safety or Explosion proof rating
    • When line voltage is unavailable
    • Low cost Digital indication is required

Gas  Contract All | Expand All

Gas Feed System

V10K Gas Feed System

The complete V10K gas feed system operates under a vacuum. A vacuum regulating valve at the gas supply container reduces gas pressure to a vacuum at once. Dry gas moves through the system to the injector under vacuum. If at any time a leak occurs from a loose fitting or an accidentally cut line or tubing, the loss of vacuum causes the system to shut down without releasing gas into the atmosphere

The V10K system is designed for the operator's convenience. Unlike cylinder mounted gas feeders, the control unit is mounted securely on the wall. This provides a stable control platform that simplifies the installation of gas and electrical lines and protects the fragile rotameter from constant handling every time the gas supply is changed.
